Terms & Conditions

Custom Manufacturing

All Sew Cal Rods products are custom designed and manufactured to order. Because each product is built specifically for the customer’s vehicle and specifications, all orders are considered custom orders.

Production begins once the required deposit or payment has been received and the order has been scheduled into our production queue.

Deposits & Payments

A deposit or full payment may be required before production begins.

Once production has started:

• Deposits are non-refundable
• Orders cannot be cancelled
• Payments made toward custom work are non-refundable

Remaining balances must be paid prior to shipment or product release.

Pricing

Prices are subject to change due to fluctuations in materials, labor, and supply chain conditions.

Quotes and estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Any modifications requested after production begins may result in additional charges and adjusted production timelines.

Production Lead Times

Estimated production timelines are provided as a guideline and may vary depending on production scheduling, material availability, design revisions, or supply chain delays.

Sew Cal Rods is not responsible for delays outside of our control.

Freight Shipping Notice

Due to the size and fragility of Sew Cal Rods interior components, many products are professionally crated and shipped via freight carrier to ensure safe transport.

Shipping costs are calculated at the time of completion of production based on current freight carrier rates and delivery location. Freight shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and will be invoiced prior to shipment.

Customers will be contacted to coordinate freight delivery once the order is ready to ship

Freight  Delivery & Damage Claims

All shipments must be inspected immediately upon delivery.

If damage is visible at the time of delivery:

  • Damage must be noted on the freight carrier's delivery receipt before accepting the shipment
  • Clear photos of the damage, packaging, and shipping crate must be taken immediately
  • Sew Cal Rods must be notified within 48 hours of delivery
  • All original packaging and shipping materials must be retained until the claim has been reviewed

Failure to report damage within 48 hours of delivery or failure to document visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt may prevent a claim from being filed or approved with the freight carrier.

Return Material Authorization (RMA)

Customers must not return or ship damaged products back to Sew Cal Rods without prior authorization.

If Sew Cal Rods determines that a damaged product or component must be returned for inspection, repair, or replacement, the customer will be issued a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number along with return shipping instructions.

Products may not be returned without a valid RMA number. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

Issuance of an RMA number authorizes the product to be returned for inspection and evaluation only and does not constitute approval of a freight damage claim, warranty claim, or manufacturing defect claim.

If a claim is approved and repair or replacement is required, Sew Cal Rods will, at its discretion, repair the damaged product or replace the affected component or item.

No refunds or credits will be issued.

Refused Shipments

If a customer refuses delivery of a shipment for any reason other than verified freight damage:

• The customer will be responsible for all return freight charges
• A 20% handling and restocking fee may apply
• Any additional shipping required to resend the product will be the customer’s responsibility

Because Sew Cal Rods products are custom manufactured to order, all sales are final. Sew Cal Rods does not offer refunds, credits, or order cancellations. Refusal of a shipment does not cancel the order or relieve the customer of responsibility for the order, shipping charges, return freight charges, or any other applicable costs.

Storage & Delayed Shipment

Once a product has been completed, the customer will be notified that the order is ready for shipment or pickup.

If shipping arrangements or final payment are not completed within 30 days of completion, Sew Cal Rods reserves the right to charge reasonable storage fees until the product is shipped or picked up.

Sew Cal Rods is not responsible for delays caused by the customer’s failure to arrange shipping or complete final payment.

Orders that remain unpaid or unclaimed for 90 days after completion may be considered abandoned and Sew Cal Rods reserves the right to recover costs associated with production, materials, and storage.

Manufacturing Defects & Claims

All Sew Cal Rods products are custom manufactured to order and returns are not accepted.

If a customer believes a product has been damaged or has a manufacturing defect, Sew Cal Rods must be notified within 48 hours of delivery. Notification must include clear photos of the damage or suspected defect, along with the customer's order or invoice information, for review.

All claims are subject to review and approval by Sew Cal Rods.

If Sew Cal Rods determines that a product must be returned for further inspection, repair, or replacement, a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number will be issued to the customer along with return instructions. Products may not be returned without prior authorization and a valid RMA number.

Issuance of an RMA number authorizes the product to be returned for inspection and evaluation only and does not constitute confirmation or approval of a manufacturing defect or warranty claim.

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Sew Cal Rods will, at its discretion, repair the product or replace the defective component or item.

  • No refunds or credits will be issued.
  • Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
  • Products returned without a valid RMA number may be refused and returned to the customer at the customer's expense.
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer

All repairs and replacements are subject to the terms of Sew Cal Rods' Limited Manufacturer Warranty.

Return Material Authorization (RMA)

Customers must inspect all products promptly upon delivery. Any shipping damage, product damage, or suspected manufacturing defect must be reported to Sew Cal Rods within 48 hours of delivery.

Notification must include the customer's order or invoice information, a description of the issue, and clear photos showing the damage or suspected defect.

Failure to notify Sew Cal Rods within 48 hours of delivery may result in the claim being denied.

RMA Authorization

Products may not be returned to Sew Cal Rods without prior authorization.

If Sew Cal Rods determines that a product needs to be returned for inspection, warranty evaluation, repair, or replacement, Sew Cal Rods will issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and provide return instructions.

Products returned without a valid RMA number may be refused and returned to the customer at the customer's expense.

Issuance of an RMA number only authorizes the product to be returned to Sew Cal Rods for inspection and evaluation. An RMA does not confirm that a manufacturing defect exists or that the claim is covered under warranty.

Inspection & Resolution

Once the product is received, Sew Cal Rods will inspect and evaluate the reported issue.

If Sew Cal Rods confirms that the product has a covered manufacturing defect, Sew Cal Rods will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the defective product; or
  • Replace the defective component or product.

Sew Cal Rods does not provide refunds or credits for custom-manufactured products.

The RMA number must be included with the returned product and clearly referenced on the return shipment.

Unless otherwise authorized by Sew Cal Rods in writing, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

All claims, repairs, and replacements are subject to Sew Cal Rods' Terms & Conditions and Limited Manufacturer Warranty.

Material & Color Variation

Sew Cal Rods uses premium automotive upholstery materials including leather, suede, fabrics, and specialty materials.

Due to natural characteristics and manufacturing dye lot variations, minor differences in color, grain, texture, and appearance may occur.

Natural leather may contain grain variation and minor markings, which are normal characteristics and are not considered defects.

Variations in lighting, photography, and screen displays may also affect how colors appear.

These variations are not considered manufacturing defects.

Installation

Sew Cal Rods interior kits are designed to allow installation by the customer or a third-party installer. Professional installation is recommended but not required.

Due to the nature of classic and restored vehicles, minor trimming or adjustments during installation may be required.

Sew Cal Rods is not responsible for damage, improper installation, or product handling during installation by customers or third parties.

Labor costs for installation, removal, or reinstallation are not covered.

Vehicle Condition & Fitment

Sew Cal Rods products are designed for classic vehicles that may vary in condition due to age, restoration work, or prior modifications.

Because of these variables, minor adjustments during installation may be required to achieve proper fitment.

Sew Cal Rods is not responsible for fitment issues caused by vehicle body variations, structural repairs, aftermarket components, or prior modifications.

Warranty

Sew Cal Rods provides a one-year limited manufacturer warranty against defects in workmanship or materials to the original purchaser.

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear
• Improper installation
• Misuse or neglect
• Modifications or alterations
• Damage caused during installation

Labor costs related to installation or removal are not covered.

Customer Supplied Materials

Materials supplied by customers are not covered under warranty. Sew Cal Rods is not responsible for defects or failures related to customer supplied materials.

Storage

Products not picked up or shipped within 30 days of completion may be subject to reasonable storage fees.

Limitation of Liability

Sew Cal Rods’ liability is limited to the purchase price of the product. Sew Cal Rods is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages including installation costs, vehicle downtime, or related expenses.

Governing Law

All transactions and agreements with Sew Cal Rods are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order with Sew Cal Rods, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

Payment Disputes & Chargebacks

By placing an order with Sew Cal Rods, the customer agrees to the terms outlined in these policies.

Customers agree not to initiate payment disputes or chargebacks with their payment provider for products that have already entered production or have been shipped.

If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated after production has begun or after a product has shipped, Sew Cal Rods reserves the right to provide all order documentation, invoices, shipping records, and these Terms & Conditions to the payment processor or financial institution as evidence that the order was a custom manufactured product and non-refundable.

Customers remain responsible for all costs associated with the order, including production, materials, and shipping.

Design Approval

For custom interior kits or products requiring design work, Sew Cal Rods may provide design renderings, CAD drawings, or product specifications for customer review and approval prior to production.

It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully review all design details including layout, materials, colors, stitching patterns, and overall configuration before providing final approval.

Once the customer provides final design approval, production will begin and changes to the design may not be possible.

Any design changes requested after approval may require additional design work, material costs, and production time, and may result in additional charges.

Sew Cal Rods is not responsible for design changes requested after final approval has been given.
