Freight Shipping Notice
Due to the size and fragility of Sew Cal Rods interior components, many products are professionally crated and shipped via freight carrier to ensure safe transport.
Shipping costs are calculated at the time of completion of production based on current freight carrier rates and delivery location. Freight shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and will be invoiced prior to shipment.
Customers will be contacted to coordinate freight delivery once the order is ready to ship.
FREIGHT DELIVERY & DAMAGE CLAIMS
All shipments must be inspected immediately upon delivery.
If damage is visible at the time of delivery:
- Damage must be noted on the freight carrier's delivery receipt before accepting the shipment
- Clear photos of the damage, packaging, and shipping crate must be taken immediately
- Sew Cal Rods must be notified within 48 hours of delivery
- All original packaging and shipping materials must be retained until the claim has been reviewed
Failure to report damage within 48 hours of delivery or failure to document visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt may prevent a claim from being filed or approved with the freight carrier.
Return Material Authorization (RMA)
Customers must not return or ship damaged products back to Sew Cal Rods without prior authorization.
If Sew Cal Rods determines that a damaged product or component must be returned for inspection, repair, or replacement, the customer will be issued a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number along with return shipping instructions.
Products may not be returned without a valid RMA number. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
Issuance of an RMA number authorizes the product to be returned for inspection and evaluation only and does not constitute approval of a freight damage claim, warranty claim, or manufacturing defect claim.
If a claim is approved and repair or replacement is required, Sew Cal Rods will, at its discretion, repair the damaged product or replace the affected component or item.
No refunds or credits will be issued.
Refused Shipments
If a customer refuses delivery of a shipment for any reason other than verified freight damage:
• The customer will be responsible for all return freight charges
• A 20% handling and restocking fee may apply
• Any additional shipping required to resend the product will be the customer’s responsibility
Because Sew Cal Rods products are custom manufactured to order, all sales are final. Sew Cal Rods does not offer refunds, credits, or order cancellations. Refusal of a shipment does not cancel the order or relieve the customer of responsibility for the order, shipping charges, return freight charges, or any other applicable costs.
